A Syrian opposition group has agreed on Saturday to attend Geneva 2 talks, which will be held in the Swiss city of Montreux on January 22. Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces’ media office has announced the decision after a meeting in Istanbul. Out of 73 members who voted, 58 backed the decision. Geneva 2 talks aim to end civil war in Syria by setting up a transitional government. More than 100,000 people have been killed in the three-year Syrian conflict, and over two million Syrians are now registered as refugees in neighboring countries, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq, according to UN.
