
The Syrian army clashed with militants who tried to attack military posts in the area of Maheen in Homs countryside and killed and wounded most of the assailants, reports said, adding that the militants' weapons cargo was targeted and destroyed elsewhere in the same province. A military source told the state-run news agency that the army destroyed a boat loaded with weapons and ammunition in al-Rastan Lake in Homs countryside, adding that the militants were trying to smuggle the weapons into the area of al-Houla. An army unit targeted and destroyed militants' hideouts in the areas of al-Dar al-Kabera and al-Rastan, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants. In Homs city, the army killed and injured all the members of an armed militant group in the area of Jorat al-Shayyah. Army kills scores of militants in Idlib The army units continued operations against the armed militant groups in many areas in Idlib Province, killing and injuring scores of militants and destroying their weapons' loaded vehicles. A military source said that the army targeted militants in the areas of Efis, Sarmin, Bennish, Kifr-shalaya and on Saraqeb-Taftanaz road, killing a number of militants and destroying vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition.
