
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir met Friday with his Chadian counterpart Idriss Deby who arrived in the Red Sea state’s capital city of Port Sudan on a two-day official visit.During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them as well as the Chadian role in the Darfur peace process and the issue of border security.They also discussed taking ties to the strategic partnership phase that serves the region by expanding joint work with neighboring countries and maximizing benefit from Sudanese ports.As part of the visit, Deby will tour the Red Sea state to get a closer look at the capacities of Sudanese ports in serving Chadian economy and trade and to put plans for that end.
