The Supreme State Security Prosecution had ordered keeping in custody for four days the accused official and the two other suspects.
El Labban is charged with getting a backhander from the two other suspects for influence peddling.
Upon searching Laban’s house, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), which is responsible for enforcing laws and regulations within state bodies, found him in possession of EGP 24 million, $4 million, 2 million Euros and more than one million Saudi Riyals, in addition to gold accessories.
