President El Sisi
Cairo - Arab Today

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has urged the security apparatus to continue to act on high alert to guarantee citizens remain safe.

Efforts should be doubled to quickly bring the perpetrators of the attack on the Boutroseya Church to justice, Sisi said in a meeting Monday with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Defense Minister Sedqy Sobhy and Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.

Victims of the attack will be avenged, Sisi assured.

Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said Sisi received a report on the circumstances of the attack during the meeting.

The report focused on evidence collected from the crime scene, as well as efforts to arrest the perpetrators, Youssef noted.

The meeting also took up security developments across Egypt, Youssef said.

Sisi was posted on measures taken by the Armed Forces and police to counter terrorism and boost security, the spokesman added.

The president praised efforts exerted by the Armed Forces and police in this regard, he said.

Sisi also spoke highly of the unity of the Egyptian people in the face of terrorism, stressing that such attacks will only strengthen the Egyptians' resolve on uprooting terrorism.
