President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday held a session of talks on the humanitarian, economic and security conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The two leaders also discussed means of resuming peace talks especially in view of Egypt's membership at the UN Security Council and Egypt's contacts with regional and international bodies to resume the stalled peace talks and bring the two sides back to the negotiations table.
The Palestinian president's visit to Cairo comes as part of continuous consultation between the two sides vis-a-vis Arab and international issues of common interest especially ahead of the Arab Summit slated for March 29 in Amman.
