President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the importance of maintaining power plants before the summer season and Ramadan month, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker said. 

Speaking to the state TV on Saturday, Shaker said that Sisi directed improving electricity services in the Upper Egyptian governorates. 

Maintenance works and power plants installation are accomplished in a systematic and effective timeline, Shaker added. 

The president was briefed on the outcome of a recent visit by an Egyptian delegation to Russia, the minister noted.
