President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday called for observing a moment of silence in mourning of six policemen who were killed in a terrorist attack on Friday.
The president paid tribute to the martyrs just before a youth dialogue forum.
Verses from the Holy Quran were recited at the beginning of the inaugural session, then a documentary was played on the first national youth conference that was held in Sharm el Sheikh in October.
