President Abdel Fattah El Sisi
Cairo - Arab Today

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday renewed his appreciation for the Egyptian people over their steadfastness and perseverance in the face of recent hard economic measures.

The president's remarks came at the inauguration of a fish farming project in eastern Suez Canal. The project is the first of its kind in Egypt and one of the most important fish farming projects in the world, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.

The first phase of the project, which was completed, includes 1,029 fish aquariums out of the overall 4,000 aquariums of the three phases of the project, added the spokesman.

The project is set to produce one million tons of fish annually that will fill in a gap of 700,000 tons with the remaining part of production exported, added the spokesman.

After a speech that was given by head of the Administrative Control Authority Mohammed Erfan during which he made an assessment of the project, president Sisi thanked his authority for its immense efforts for fighting corruption, added the spokesman.

President Sisi asserted that any wrong doer will be held accountable and that nobody is above the law with no exception, including the president of the republic himself, said the spokesman.

The president urged the government to exert more efforts for controlling markets and urged investors and tradesmen to work for easing the suffering of citizens.

The president underlined the necessity of completing all fishing farms projects nationwide by the end of 2017, said the spokesman, adding that two other fishing farms projects are on the pipeline.
