Information Affairs Authority (IAA) President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa received here today Secretary General of the Arab Journalists Union (AJU) Makram Mohammed Ahmed. Shaikh Fawaz praised the leading role AJU has in enriching Arab media and the part it plays in upgrading journalism in pushing forward the development process of the region. The IAA President highlighted the great attention being paid by the leadership of Bahrain to the local media through setting up laws that ensure responsible press and media in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of cooperation between Arab journalists for the benefit of all. From his side, AJU secretary general lauded the progressive media development at various domains.
