
Security and military forces deployed intensively on Tuesday in the vicinity of al-Ittihadia Palace in the Cairo district of Heliopolis ahead of political functions to take place in commemoration of the acts of violence that took place in Mohamed Mahmoud street and demonstrations called upon by the Muslim Brotherhood group. Two armored vehicles were seen on Merghani street and two others at Gate 4 of the palace overlooking Heliopolis Sports Club, MENA correspondent said. Around nine military vehicles and four central security troops commuter vehicles, two armored vehicles and a fire engine were also deployed on side streets leading to Merghani street.
