Security forces examine the scene
Cairo - Arab Today

High-profile security sources have said the terrorist attack which targeted worshipers in Abbassiya on Sunday was not inside the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbassiya as reported by some news websites.

The sources asserted the bombing occurred inside El Boutrosiya Church, calling on all media outlets to be accurate in publishing untrue news whose consequences may affect the national security of the country.

The sources affirmed that the papal headquarters was disturbed by such false news.

At least 25 people were killed and 49 more injured in the blast that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbassiya.
