- A Saudi solider was killed in a mine explosion on the border city of Jizan near Yemen, the Saudi Interior Ministry tweeted on Friday.
The ministry identified the slain soldier as Abdullah Farhan Jaber Al Malki who was a member of the border guards.
It did not give more details about the time of the blast or if there were any other casualties.
He was the last Saudi soldier to have died since a Saudi-led coalition launched a war against Houthis in Yemen in March 2015.
Most of the deaths were caused by missile attacks that also killed tens of Saudi civilians in different border cities.
Also, thousands of Yemeni civilians lost their lives in airstrikes by the coalition or direct clashes between the Houthi rebels and supporters of Yemen's elected government.
