
Mecca border guards thwarted an infiltration attempt into the waters of Saudi Arabia by 68 people on board of two wooden boats coming from the Sudanese beaches.
The official spokesman for the Border Guard Col. Saher Al-Harbi said that the intruders included men, women and children of different nationalities (45 Sudanese, 15 Ethiopians, 6 Chadians, a Nigerian and an Eritrean).
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Colonel Al-Harbi said that statutory procedures will be completed with the offenders in accordance with border security system.
