
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has today backed the measures undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to implement the recommendations of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI). Head of Saudi mission to the EU Faisal bin Hassan Tarrad commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain and firm commitment to carry out the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) recommendations. The Saudi official expressed the stance during discussions of the report of the United Nations High Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillay at the opening of the 21st UNHRC Session. He also congratulated Bahrain on being chosen to host the Arab Human Rights Court, describing the move as reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to international human rights standards.
