"Trust in the state is what we are looking for from the new era," Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, said on Sunday during the mass service in Bkirki.
The Patriarch, during the sermon, called on all officials to find competent and honest people that are able to combat corruption and the waste of public funds.
The Patriarch, who saluted the new presidential and governmental era, urged the political forces to commit their performance to transparency, impartiality and social equity as well as the principle of separation of powers.
