Rafah crossing closed over Eid

Egypt closed Rafah crossing with Gaza Strip in both directions as of Monday on the occasion of Eidul-Adha (Greater Bairam), a well-placed source at the crossing said. The Rafah terminal will continue to be closed till Friday and will be opened on Saturday, added the source. Meanwhile, Ouja commercial crossing was closed today and will be opened next Sunday. Egypt allows humanitarian aid for Gaza into Israel through the Ouja crossing in central Sinai. The aid is then moved to Gaza through border crossings with Israel.
