Qatar's embassies celebrate national day

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Australia Yousif bin Ali Al Khater has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar's National Day in the Australian capital of Canberra. The function was attended by former federal parliamentary speaker Peter Slipper, Vice of Canberra Jia Broadman, Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Geoffrey Brown, Head of protocol at the Foreign Affairs Sally Mansfield, Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Argentina, Dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Australia's grand mufti Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamed and ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Australia. The function was also attended by a number of members of the diplomatic corps in Canberra, a number of senior political, economic and social figures, business men and women, leaders of Arab and Muslim communities in Australia and representatives of culture and media. The reception ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of Riyadh Region Principality Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, HE the Minister of State and Cabinet Member Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Khuwaiter and HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Aladdin Al-Askari as well as the ambassadors of the Arab, Islamic and foreign countries accredited to the Kingdom, a number of diplomats, Saudi figures and guests of the embassy. (QNA) Qatar's Embassy in Beijing Celebrates National Day Beijing, December 17 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to China Hamad bin Mohamed Al Khalifa held a reception on the occasion of Qatar's National Day in the Chinese capital Beijing. The ceremony was attended by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun, a number of senior officials in the Communist Party, the State Commission for Development and Reform and Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Trade and Culture as well as representatives from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Chinese oil and gas companies. The ceremony was also attended by a large crowd of political and academic elites as well as businessmen, Chinese journalists, heads and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in Beijing.
