
HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al Buainein met Tuesday with a delegation from Arab Human Rights Committee "Charter Committee" headed by Dr Hadi Bin Ali Al Yami.
In an statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Buainein said that they reviewed during the meeting areas of cooperation between the Qatar's National Human Rights Committee and the Arab Human Rights Committee. They also reviewed the efforts made by Qatar to improve and promote the human rights situation, along with the achievements it has made in this field, legally and practically, he added.
The Arab committee will review Qatar's periodic report on human rights on 15th-16th May. The Arab Human Rights Committee entered into force on 16 March 2008 to ensure the implementation of the charter and review reports on member states regarding human rights, and their ways to practice the mentioned rights.
