
Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held talks Wednesday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on the latest Palestinian-related developments. The two men also discussed efforts by the Arab ministerial committee of the Arab peace initiative which aimed at pushing forward the peace process in the Middle East, official news agency (QNA) reported. Abbas, it added, briefed the Qatari leader on his recent meetings with key players in the region. The Qatari Amir reiterated backing to endeavors of the Arab ministerial committee. President Abbas arrived in Doha earlier today on an official visit.
