Published remarks attributed to al-Sisi inaccurate

Egyptian Armed Forces on Thursday said nomination of the forces General Commander, Field Marshal Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, to the president "is a personal decision which he will personally take in front of the Egyptian people, with explicit and direct remarks." The forces' spokesman, Colonel Ahmad Mohammed Ali, said remarks attributed by the Kuwaiti daily newspaper, As-Seyassah, to Al-Sisi "were not direct remarks by the Field Marshal and included inaccurate rhetoric."
