Prosecution starts probe into diesel-laden truck accident

The Public Prosecution in Shubra el Kheima started probe into the incident of the overturned truck laden with diesel.

The truck crashed with eight other cars in the Ring Road in Mostorod area of Shubra el Kheima city, Qalyubiyah governorate.

The Prosecution decided to quiz the driver of the truck, after his health condition improved. 

A committee was formed to asses the losses and determine the cause of the incident. 

Earlier, firefighters in Qalyubiyah governorate managed to control a blaze which broke out in the car on the Ring Road, after it overturned and crashed with eight cars. 

Five cars were deployed to the scene of the incident to remove the spilled diesel. The traffic movement returned to normal later.

Five persons were injured and one of them succumbed to his injuries later.

The injured were moved to Nasser Hospital and Bahtim General Hospital.
