
President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Thursday with the ambassadors of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council to Yemen. During the meeting, President Hadi briefed the ambassadors on the situations in Yemen and the latest developments of the national scene related to the success of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). The President also praised the efforts of the GCC member states leaders in the success of Yemen’s political settlement based on the GCC-brokered and the UN Security Council resolutions No. 2014 and 2051. "The efforts of GCC states have had a positive impact through political, material and moral support to Yemen during its recent crisis until we passed the challenges. It is not only a strange position from the Gulf leaders because Yemen is a natural and geographical extension strategic depth for the Gulf states, but also because Yemen's security is part of the region security", President Hadi told the Gulf diplomats. He pointed out that the international community supports Yemen and blesses the outputs of the NDC, mentioning the statement made by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in this regard. For his part, Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) office in Sana'a ambassador Saad al-Arifi conveyed the congratulations of the Gulf states leaders to the Yemen leadership and people on the successes have been achieved in the framework of Yemen’s transition process, including the success of the NDC. The GCC diplomat said that the GCC states will participate in celebrations marking the NDC success with high-level delegations.
