The Popular Congress party on Friday urged Sudanese political forces, be they loyal or opposed to the government, to raise themselves above difference and grievances of the past, and to opt for the higher national interests in lieu of tight vested partisan benefits, and to look forwards to a safe and secure homeland.
Sheikh Ibrahim Sanousi, the Secretary General of the Popular Congress which opened session of the General conference in Burie area, Khartoum, urged all political forces and religious entities to come together, unite their ranks and work for achieving justice and Shoura for the sake of the progress and the security of their homeland.
Sanouosi told the General conference of the party held under the motto of "a renewed movement, a free society", attended by leaders of political parties, religious leaders, diplomats and representatives of Islamic movements from around the world, that his party is for more democracy, justice, tolerance of the diversity and moving together in unison for facing challenges. 
He said it was high time now to unite the ranks and move forwards towards the future and to overcome differences and aspire for good governance.
He said the National Dialogue in which his party took part along with other political parties and armed movements, was an open national process with open agenda, resulting in comprehensive and outstanding conclusions. 
He added that the results of the dialogue process were approved unanimously by the parties and movements involved in the dialogue and by the community leaders. 
He stressed that following the approval of these recommendations, a news stage in the political history of the Sudan kicks off with the implementation of the national dialogue and seeing them being implemented on the ground and culminating with drafting a permanent constitution for the country, guaranteeing freedoms and set a programme blessed by all for a free and transparent and fair elections, on how Sudan should be run.
He said by the implementation of those recommendations, a political reform process starts, ending the fighting and conflicts and achieving peace and stability and good livelihood, setting a conducive climate for reconciliation and accord among the various components of the Sudanese community while at the same time enable for equitable sharing of resources.
He stressed that it was imperative to adopt an economic reform programme, fight corruption and cater for the people.
He underlined the need for building Sudanese regional and intentional relations on the country's interests and in line with joint interests.
He said this programme should also consider the creative interaction with the other civilizations of the world. He said it was imperative to break the double standards. 
He reaffirmed that the Palestinian question remain a central issue and a national and Islamic concerns. He reaffirmed that there would be no negotiation or normalization with Israel.
