Pope chairs emergency meeting of Holy Synod

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese chaired an emergency meeting of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church to discuss the developments of a bill regulating the construction and renovation of churches.
The government is currently holding consultations with Egyptian churches, which opposed the amendments on the bill that is expected to be sent to parliament for ratification.
