Pope calls on Egyptians to protest peacefully

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese called on Egyptians to protest peacefully. "Egypt is our homeland. The land of Nile endures all of us. Our duty is to protect it without violence or assault," he wrote on his Twitter account. "The Egyptian blood is scared. Egyptians please take part and express but respect others," he wrote.
