
The Emir of kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued two Emiri decrees on Monday accepting the resignation of seven ministers and reshuffling the cabinet. The ministers who submitted their resignations are: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Mustafa Al-Shimali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Salem Abdulaziz Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Thikra Ayed Al-Rashidi, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and Minister of State for Planning and Development Dr. Rola Dashti. Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Salem Al-Utheina, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Shareeda Al-Mousherji and Minister of Education and Minister of High Education Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf were also among the resigned ministers, reported the kuwaiti news agency KUNA. The second Emiri decree reshuffled the current government appointing new ministers due to the resignation of some others. The following ministers were reshuffled: First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of Finance Anas Khalid Al-Saleh, Minister of Communications and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Essa Ahamd Al-Kandari and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah. The newly-appointed ministers are as follows: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Medej, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Ahmad Al-Melaifi, Minister of Health Dr. Ali Saad Al-Obeidi, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Omair, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Nayef Mohammad Al-Ajmi, Minister of State for Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Planning and Development Hind Sebeeh Al-Sebeeh and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Yasser Hassan Abul.
