OIC hosts meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, is set to host a meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan, ICG, in Jeddah on Tuesday.
In its statement, the OIC said, "Delegations from more than 50 countries are expected to attend the meeting."
Formed in 2009, the ICG on Afghanistan has emerged as a prominent platform where the international efforts and initiatives towards contributing peace and stability in Afghanistan are coordinated. The ICG has regularly met in different countries to discuss issues related to Afghanistan and its peace, security, stability and development.
