
Head of the Civil Protection Department in Sharqiya Brigadier Magdy el-Shalaqnay denied Sunday reports about finding a bomb in a mosque in a village that witnessed an explosion earlier in the day. A rumor has been ongoing among the residents of Anshas el-Raml village about a bomb hidden in the mosque’s restroom but when a bomb squad checked it out. It was found to be a round hollow object with no explosives, Shalaqany said. Earlier, an explosion hit the vicinity of the military intelligence building in Anshas el-Raml, injuring four persons.
