
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee has convened for its 23rd meeting. Chaired by Fareed Ghazi, the NIHR panel also includes as members Dr. Abdulrahman Jawaheri and Dr. Jameela Al-Sammak.
The committee spotlighted the session themed "Human Rights and the Environment", held on February 25, and stressed the importance of benefiting from the research papers which were presented to enforce the right of human beings to a clean environment.
The Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee is one of the panels affiliated with the national watchdog, submitting opinions related to economic, social and cultural rights and follow-up public issues.
