National Day anniversary reflects cohesion between leadership and people

The UAE 45th National Day confirms the national spirit of interdependence and cohesion between the leadership and the people, instilled by the founding fathers and the first generation of men who had laid down the pillars of the UAE Union, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC, and its Group of Companies, has said.

"We celebrate the National Day every year to reaffirm our pride in our homeland, leadership and the achievements that speak volumes about the UAE’s progress and prosperity," he said in a statement on the occasion.

He added that the leading position enjoyed by the UAE today would not have been possible without the directives of the wise leadership.

"Over the last 45 years since the first day of the establishment of the Union, those directives had been the basic pillars that strengthened nation building, formulated its future and revamped its position, as well as its pioneering role locally, regionally and globally," Al Jaber said.

He referred to the combination of the tireless efforts of the sons and daughters of the nation for the development of all sectors and promotion of economic development.

The Minister extended his warm congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highness Rulers of the Emirates.

He underscored the enormous progress scored by the UAE, and thanked the leadership for enabling the state to strengthen its capacity, economic and social growth to become a source of pride, home of knowledge, innovation and sustainability besides ensuring a safe and stable life for tomorrow’s generations.

Al Jaber said that the leadership has always been keen to support comprehensive development activities and cited ADNOC, which receives continuous attention and follow-up from the leadership. "This has contributed to strengthening the expertise and capacity of the company and its staff to play a major and effective role in achieving the ambitious aspirations regarding future economic and social development in the UAE," he added.

"With ADNOC’s completion of 45 years of continuous hard work by its administrative and technical staff, the company pledges today that it will continue to offer more to elevate this nation to sustain the achievements and score more successes whose economic and social impact will reflect on the homeland and the citizens," Al Jaber added "The celebration of the 45th National Day anniversary serves as a catalyst for exerting more efforts to harness potentials so as to sustain the legacy of the UAE heritage and gains to keep the UAE status among the developed countries, reaffirm our loyalty to the prudent leadership and stick to the noble national values," he added.
