
MP Margaret Azer on Tuesday lauded the swift response by the government at all official levels for lifting the suffering of Christian families who moved from Arish to Ismailia due to terrorist threats in North Sinai.
The government has extended all urgent assistance to the affected families, she added.
She made the press statements after meeting with several ministers and the families moving from Arish to Ismailia.
She added that she met with Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouli who pledged to make available five residential buildings units including 120 apartments to the moving families.
Also, Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar promised to handle the cases of students of the moving families where he pledged to provide places for them in the Suez Canal University, she added.
Azer noted that she received a letter from Minister of Education Tarek Shawky pledging to admit students coming from Arish into other schools in the area where they are living without any preconditions.
Also, Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali is following up here since the start of the crisis the conditions of the moving families, she added.
