His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, held talks today, at Zabeel Palace,with visiting Lebanese President Michel Suleiman over the distinguished brotherly bilateral ties. Sheikh Mohammed lauded the UAE-Lebanon bonds as ''strong and distinct'' and will remain so thanks to efforts being made by leaders of the two countries and communication between the two peoples. The Lebanese head of state said UAE had survived challenges despite implications of the international financial crisis confidently thanks to the sound policy of its visionary leadership. He asserted the UAE had weathered the storm and pursued its development process in various fields. President Sulieman lauded ties between the Emirati and Lebanese peoples as eternal, adding that the UAE is hosting the largest Lebanese community who are living in a tolerant and diverse society and contributing with their expertise to its development. The Lebanese president invited Sheikh Mohammed to visit Lebanon, his second home.
