
Minister of Industry, Hussein Hajj Hassan, and Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury, convened on Monday with Ambassador of Egypt, Nazih al-Najjari to discuss economic ties between Lebanon and the North African country and means of encouraging trade and supporting industry in both states.
A statement was issued following the meeting declaring that in addition to bolstering economic and industrial ties, the gatherers agreed to support industrial and technical cooperation in the marble industry, by providing training in said field for Lebanese workers in Egypt, especially that the latter has extensive expertise in marble. Lebanon would also become a main exporter of marble to Egypt.
