Minister of Guidance Calls for Concerted Efforts to Fight Terrorism

Minister of Guidance and Endowments, Dr. Ammar Mirghani Hussein, has stressed the importance of the US diplomacy in Sudan in clarifying matters and indicating that Sudan is a stable, secure and tolerant country .
Dr. Mirghani who met, Tuesday, the US Charged' Affaires ,in Khartoum, has stressed the need for vigilance and attention to the threat of terrorism and extremism as well as coordination of local and international efforts to combat it and fight all hardliner militant groups that threaten peace and social security .
He affirmed that the state guarantees the freedom of belief which is included in the constitution, adding that Muslims and Christians enjoy rights and duties on the basis of citizenship and humanity.
He pointed out that issues of churches are given due concern and care from the concerned authorities .
The Minister of Guidance and Endowments has announced that the ministry plan includes several programs, conferences, meetings and workshops on the issue of social peace and religious tolerance .
