Lebanon's Council of Ministers Secretary-General, Fouad Fleifel, yesterday announced a Decree forming the new Lebanese government, headed by Saad Hariri as Prime Minister, which includes 30 ministers from various parliamentary blocs.

According to the National News Agency, NNA, Mr. Hariri said, "This government, which is a government of national accord as I said the day I accepted to form it, will immediately address the issues that can be treated during the few months it will last, especially the crises facing citizens like the waste, electricity and water problems.

"In politics, the first task of this government will be, in cooperation with Parliament, to reach a new electoral law that takes into account proportional representation and right representation, to organise parliamentary elections on time in the middle of next year."
