The Lebanese army units Friday uncovered and detonated three Grad rockets ready to be launched in the Al Qaa region in the east Bekaa, 125 km from Beirut. The Lebanese Army Guidance Directorate said in a statement "At 16:00 Friday afternoon, a LAF unit seized three 107 mm Grad rockets prepared for launching in the Q'aa region." It added "a military expert came to the site and worked on detonating the rockets. The military police launched an investigation under the supervision of the competent authorities to uncover the case." However, the statement did not specify the area the rockets were to target.
