Lebanese PM: Arabs need Egypt

Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam met with Egyptian Consul to Lebanon Sherif el-Bahrawy on Thursday to discuss the developments in the two countries. Salam expressed confidence that Egypt will cross safely the transitional period and apply the future road map despite the challenges facing the democratic transition in the country. Arab countries need Egypt to restore its regional role especially under the present circumstances, he said. The meeting also took up efforts to form a new Lebanese government.
