Lebanese government gets parliament confidence

The Lebanese Parliament made a vote of confidence in favour of the new Lebanese government under Prime Minister Tammam Salam on Thursday.The new government recieved a majority 96 votes in favour from a total of 128 lawmakers.The parliament had been involved in two days of lengthy discussions over the matter which ended on Thursday.Salam said after the session that his government will work towards the aim of voting for a new president.
