A number of members of the parliament (MPs) urged to push the country's development wheel further and faster in all domains, alluding to what His Highness the Amir said in his speech at the opening of the parliament's 2nd session of its 14th legislative term. The MPs, who discussed the Amiri speech, said that the country's wealth should benefit all especially the younger generations. The Amiri speech, they said, pointed to the insecurity and tension in the region; therefore, they stressed the importance of having wise and far-sighted foreign policies to keep the country safe. The MPs called on providing the best services to citizens, especially in healthcare that has been deteriorating in the past few years. They also urged for an immediate and a permanent solution for the housing issue that has been casting gloomy shadows over Kuwaiti families. The focal point of the Amiri speech was to unify efforts to meet the aspirations of people to complete the country's development plans, they said. The parliament speaker adjourned today's session before the Amiri speech was fully discussed.
