King Mohammed VI
Rabat - Arab Today

King Mohammed VI’s visit to Mali has been postponed to a later date, according to a tweet posted by the Malian presidency  on Tuesday.

The presidency said that the postponement of the visit was “due to a decision on the part of Morocco.”

Mali was thought to be one of the King’s destinations for his current tour of Africa, which started last Thursday from Ghana as a springboard for Morocco to further strengthen South-South partnership and revamp cooperative ties with the rest of the African countries.

After the King signed twenty-five governmental and public-private partnership agreements in several various sectors in Accra, the King headed to Zambia.

On Monday, King Mohammed VI and his counterpart President of the Republic of Zambia, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, chaired the signing ceremony of 19 governmental and economic partnership agreements between the two countries.

Last week, Guinean media reported that King Mohammed VI is set to pay a two-day official visit to the nation’s capital, Conakry, in order toto express his gratitude to  President Alpha Condé for his major role in the readmission of Morocco to the African Union (AU) in January.
