
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today affirmed the GCC common destiny, stressing the need to stand united to stave off potential threats to member states. HM the King was speaking as he received at Al-Sakhir Palace the GCC interior ministers, along with GCC secretary-general, marking their meeting in Bahrain. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister attended. HM the King, incumbent president of the GCC session, hailed deep-rooted fraternal relations bonding member countries, paying tribute to GCC leaders for laying the foundations of long-standing and solid ties. The interior ministers conveyed to HM the King greetings from the GCC leaders, wishing him health and happiness and Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King also extended his sincerest greetings and wishes to the GCC leaders. He expressed Bahrain's pride in hosting such meetings which reflect deep coordination and solid cooperation. HM the King commended the ministers for their dedicated efforts in assuming their noble humanitarian mission to maintain security and stability and protect people's safety and rights, which earned that the GCC citizens' respect. He stressed the importance of such meetings in bolstering joint cooperation and spotlighting fast regional security developments, hence the need to step up cooperation to confront challenges. He credited the ministers for strengthening joint security systems and providing premium services.
