Manama - ArabToday

Bahrain will remain forever a free and proud country, enjoying security and moving steadfastly towards development and progress, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, hailing loyal Bahrainis who serve their nation.
HM the King, the Supreme Commander, paid tribute to brave security affiliates who spare no effort to perform their duties and maintain national security and stability. This came as he paid a visit to the Interior Ministry headquarters, in the presence of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa. He was received on arrival by Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and other ministry's senior officials. The royal anthem was played before HM the King met senior officers and officials at the Ministry of Interior.
HM the King bestowed medals on a number of officers and commended their dedicated efforts and wished them further success, taking pride in their bravery and dedication. He offered condolences to the bereaved families of the two officers, who were martyred recently, praying to the Almighty to lay the souls of all martyrs in eternal peace.
HM the King commended the ministry's affiliates, hailing their efficiency, high readiness and professionalism in dealing with national security issues, pre-empting and thwarting terrorist plots and tracking down fugitives and bringing them to justice. He extended greetings to the affiliates in all departments of the Interior Ministry, wishing them continuous success. He hailed the joint work between the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard and the National Security Agency in performing their noble duties, thanking Lt-Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and all personnel for the strides achieved by the ministry.
Lt-Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa expressed thanks and allegiance to HM the King, describing the royal visit as a source of pride. He prayed to the Almighty to protect HM the King, the architect of national development and progress, and bless Bahrain with security and stability.
