
Publishing sector journalists from Dubai Media Incorporated will participate in the "For Good, We Walk" march, which was announced by the National Media Council, in support of the Year of Giving initiative that was launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Ahmed Al Hammadi, Executive Director for the Publishing Sector in Dubai Media Incorporated, said that the participation of journalists from "Al Bayan" and "Al Emarat Al Youm" during the march in Abu Dhabi on 17th March, will highlight the values of giving and volunteering from those who work in the media sector, as well as their support for the activities in the Year of Giving.
He added that the publishing sector is committed to its role in supporting initiatives launched from the UAE and in carrying a message of giving and peace to the world, which comes from the social encouragement by participating in charity work and noble initiatives.
The march aims to highlight the role of the media sector, including media personalities, in supporting and helping the success of national initiatives that were launched by the leadership to promote the noble messages and goals of the Year of Giving, as well as to establish the values of giving and volunteering for the sector’s workers, who have a great responsibility to support national initiatives by participating, promoting and encouraging society to effectively contribute to these initiatives.
