Jordanian King Abdullah II received on Tuesday Egypt's Interim President Adly Mansour, who is visiting Jordan as part of a tour that has already taken him to Saudi Arabia. A Jordanian Royal band played the two countries' national anthems once the president arrived at the Royal Court. Then, the two leaders held talks on ways to boost bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region. The talks were attended by the members of the Egyptian delegation and senior Jordanian officials. A second session of bilateral talks will be held later Tuesday. The Jordanian king held talks with Mansour in Cairo on 20 July, during which the two discussed ways to improve ties. The Jordanian King’s visit came a few days after Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi’s ouster following mass popular protests. The visit was meant to express the kingdom's support for the will of the Egyptian people.
