Jordan king attends ceremony marking veterans day

His Majesty King Abdullah, on Wednesday, attended a ceremony in honor of war veterans and retired servicemen at the Dead Sea.This year’s celebration was dedicated to commemorate the heroism and sacrifices of the Arab Army in the 1948 war in defense of Jerusalem, and pay tribute to those who fell martyrs in Palestine.On this occasion, His Majesty, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, directed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Mishal Mohammed Zabin, to take all legal measures facilitate housing loans for military personnel.The King also instructed the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to improve services provided to retired military personnel and veterans and create clubs for them across the Kingdom to be a platform for dialogue and social and cultural activities.
