
Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan, Foreign Minister Nasser Joudeh, arrived this morning in Beirut on a state visit where he is scheduled to meet with President Michel Aoun to hand him a letter from King Abdullah II, as well as with House Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, National News Agency correspondent reported on Tuesday.
At Beirut airport, Joudeh told reporters that he would hand a written letter to President Aoun hereby inviting him to attend the Arab summit in Amman in coming March.
He also indicated that his visit came "in the framework on the historic and fraternal ties between Lebanon and Jordan.
"The participation of President Aoun in the Arab summit will enrich this [summit]," he said.
