Jeddah - Arabstoday

A warehouse of clothes and sewing accessories, including sewing machines, at the Al-Sanabul district in the southern part of Jeddah was reduced to ashes following a fire on Friday. No cases of injuries have been reported in the fire that consumed the entire warehouse of 900 sq. meters, spokesman of Makkah Civil Defense Lt. Col. Abdullah Al-Amri said in a statement to Arab News. Investigations are under way to identify the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, another fire at a timber yard in the Al-Sawaed district in east Jeddah damaged the electricity line causing power outage in some of the adjoining districts. The  entire timber yard of 2,500 sq. meters was destroyed. The yard is away from other establishments and houses. Power supply was later resumed, the spokesman said.
