Work of an Interior Ministry committee tasked with issuing national number IDs for Egyptian expatriates in Britain will be extended until Wednesday, Egypt's Consul General in London Alaa Yousef said on Saturday.
The move is aimed at meeting the huge numbers of Egyptians seeking to get the IDs, Youssef told MENA.
The diplomat added that the arrival of the committee in London is an important step for the members of the Egyptian community in Britain and Northern Ireland.
