Israeli forces Thursday attacked a Palestinian funeral in Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron, injuring two Palestinians with steel rubber-coated bullets, according to a local activist. The coordinator of the popular committee against settlements and the Apartheid Wall, Mohammad Awad, told WAFA that Israeli forces attacked the funeral, firing steel rubber-coated bullets, tear gas canisters and acoustic bombs at the Palestinians, causing several suffocation cases among them. Two Palestinians were also shot and injured during the clashes. They were transferred to hospital for treatment. Awad said that forces deliberately target Palestinian funerals in the area in an attempt to take over the town’s cemetery.
